Johanna Palmberg

Johanna Palmberg is Research Director at Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum and Associate Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH. Johanna is also a lecturer in economics at Södertörn University.

Research Areas

Her research interests include family businesses, corporate governance, philanthropy, social entrepreneurship and social innovation. That is, issues related to entrepreneurship and social development.

At Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum, Johanna is responsible for the philanthropic forum (read more) and the research projects Philanthropy in an entrepreneurial economy and Family business, entrepreneurship and economic development.

Johanna has been a visiting researcher at the University of Vienna, George Mason University, USA, and Jiao Tong University, Shanghai. In Sweden, she has also worked at Ratio and KTH. Her research is published in journals such as Corporate Governance – An international review, Family Business Review, Journal of Small Business Economics, European Journal of Law and Economics and Corporate Ownership and Control.
